The intention of ADJ is to create pieces that balance contemporary edge with traditional elegance. Amber believes good design is timeless. She draws inspiration from exceptional craft in antiquity, particularly but not exclusively, Byzantine, Greco-Roman and Etruscan period pieces; which she offsets this with details from the art deco movement.

About Amber

Amber is a jeweller and aspiring silversmith. Her training focused on both design and making, she graduated from DJCAD in Dundee and completed a 10 month post-graduate residency at the prestigious Bishopsland Educational Trust. Amber has won several awards and was chosen by The Goldsmiths’ Centre to take part in their ‘Spotlighting 2022/2023’ programme.

Amber uses single mine origin or recycled gold and silver in her pieces in an effort to create an ethically responsible practise; she believes it is important to relieve some of the human and environmental impacts of the jewellery industry.

Amber is a fellow of Bishopsland Educational Trust, an internationally recognised post-graduate residential programme designed to provide a bridge between a university degree and the ability to thrive as a self-employed maker. Bishopsland is a registered charity and has been operating for 30 years; it counts many leading contemporary silversmiths amongst its alumni.

Quality Assurance

All of our pieces are hallmarked at the London Assay Office. Hallmarks guarantee metal quality; they indicate the type of metal, who made the piece, when and where it was stamped.
